Robert Rubinstein
A co-founder and chairman of Ruby Ventures, Robert is responsible for leading investment strategy and providing support to all facets of the company’s operations. He previously served as president of H&R Property Management Ltd. (http://hrpm.ca) and continues to serve on the Executive Committee of H&R Development, of which his late father, Bill Rubinstein, was a founding partner.
Robert also established family-owned Canadel Development Ltd, which has built residential projects in Israel. Robert was president of the Canada-Israel Chamber of Commerce and Industry and held leadership positions in various communal and educational organizations. He is also an award-winning author. Prior to embarking on his business career, Robert taught Philosophy at the University of Toronto for ten years.
Ilan Rubinstein
Ilan is a co-founder of both Ruby Ventures and Ruby Capital. He previously served as a principal of various New York City-based real estate development firms.
Ilan is a past director of Convergent Energy + Power and of dapple. He also serves on the international advisory board of Leket Israel: The National Food Bank, and on the advisory council of Sefaria: A Living Library of Jewish Texts Online. He is a past board member of the Tribeca Synagogue and is an advisor and past honoree of Drisha Institute for Jewish Education. Ilan holds a BA degree in Philosophy and History from Yeshiva University and an MSc degree in Real Estate Development and Investment from New York University.
Erez Rubinstein
Erez is a co-founder of Ruby Ventures. He previously worked for several New York City based real estate development and finance firms including the Carlton Group and the Urban Builders Collaborative. Erez also served as a principal in the Canadel Group, focused on real estate development in Eastern Europe.
Erez was the co-founder and CEO of Odem Electric Billing Services Inc., an electricity sub-metering company in Toronto, which was sold to Wyse Meter Solutions Inc. Erez holds a BA degree in Philosophy from York University, an MBA degree from Bar Ilan University and an MSc in Real Estate Finance and Investment from New York University.
